December 2017

22nd December 2017

Dear Parents,

As the end of a busy term approaches, I hope you have enjoyed the festive period as much as the children have. I’m sure you’ll agree that each of the Christmas productions this year have been magical and we feel especially proud of the children, staff and our school community at this time of year.

Thank you to our P.T.A, who have organised a fantastic range of Christmas festivities for all year groups to enjoy, including crafts and visits to Santa. Also, Boyz Noyz who adorned the entrance to our school with cakes and carols and visited a local care home to spread their Christmas spirit.

The staff of Linthorpe are incredibly grateful for the kind and generous contributions to Middlesbrough food bank this year, in lieu of staff Christmas gifts. These will be donated on Friday, to those less fortunate, on your behalf.

I would like to personally thank you for your continued support in the fund raising events held by school. We raised £631.36 by wearing something spotty for Children in Need. £101.73 was also raised for Zoe’s Place through donations at the Y2 Christmas performance.

This week, we say farewell to two members of staff, who are moving onto pastures new: Mrs Hide (Nursery Teaching Assistant) and Miss Shaw (Y6 Teaching Assistant) – we wish them both the very best of luck.

School Performance Tables were published on 14th December (see link on school website) and we are delighted that the progress children make in all subjects at LCPS is above national average. Thank you for all that you do in supporting our teachers to reach the very highest standards for your children.

Finally, please note some important diary dates below:

Mrs S Lymer
