National Tutoring Programme

Disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in significant missed education by pupils. Tutoring is one of the most effective tools for helping pupils recover lost education.

At Linthorpe Community Primary school we are proud to have developed our own School-Led Tutoring programme. Introduced in Autumn 2021, our tutoring provision is explicitly linked to classroom teaching and pupil’s specific needs. Delivered by our own staff, tutors are familiar to the children and can effectively communicate with class teachers. Short, regular and sustained tutoring sessions are delivered to small groups of children outside of the school day. This ensures children do not miss any further learning.
