Rubies
Rubies is a registered charity which runs an eight-week self-esteem course for girls in Year 6. LCPS has partnered with Rubies for three years offering the workshop to 12 girls each year. This academic year, the workshop is being offered to the full cohort of girls in Year 6. The aim of the course is to increase self-esteem, build resilience and stay safe.
The Bungalow Partnership
The Bungalow Partnership offers psychotherapeutic counselling and play therapy for children who have been identified as needing extra support.
MFC Step Up Mentoring Service
MFC Step Up Mentoring Service provides vulnerable pupils with 1:1 transition support in Year 6, during the summer holidays and into Year 7.
Curious Beasts – North East Wellbeing
Aimed at Lower Key Stage 2 children who scored below 4 on the Wellbeing Scale, it is a data-driven workshop followed by a nurture programme. Run by trained nurture teachers, the workshops support early issues in emotional wellbeing in children in Year 3 and Year 4.
Zone Boro
Funded by the Child Health and Wellbeing Network, Zone Boro is an 18-month project in Middlesbrough providing families and children aged 7-11 with link workers to help improve their emotional wellbeing. At LCPS, a link worker is working with pupils in Year 3 and Year 6 on a programme that has been personalised to their specific needs.
