Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only (8.30am-4.30pm)
Contract Status: Permanent
Linthorpe Community Primary School, part of The Legacy Learning Trust, wish to appoint a qualified and experienced Sports coach and leader of play to work with classes across the school supporting the development of Sport and PE and to contribute to the leadership and management of our National Curriculum+ extracurricular offer. Alongside their coaching role, the successful candidate will lead, facilitate and monitor high quality, meaningful, child centred play opportunities during breaktimes.
The role will include working with a range of groups and whole classes, developing children’s skills, knowledge and positive attitudes through a range of sports, physical education and outdoor play opportunities. The successful candidate will be required to teach model lessons, in order to ensure continuous high-quality professional development in PE for all staff and will help lead our extracurricular offer across school. The development of inter school and regional competitions will also be central to the role.
The school has extensive playing fields, an outdoor enclosed court, 2 well equipped halls and experienced PE curriculum leaders in post with whom the successful candidate will work closely.
The successful candidate must:
- have experience of working with children in a school learning environment
- demonstrate a good understanding of the primary PE curriculum
- have a positive approach to developing relationships with pupils
- have interest and/or experience in developing meaningful, productive play opportunities and recognise how this benefits all pupils
- have experience of working flexibly and successfully within a range of teams
- be fully committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only (8.30am-3.30pm)
Contract Status: Permanent
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and motivated candidates to join our team of experienced and highly professional staff. The successful candidate will be supporting the work of the teachers within whole class sessions and will be expected to deliver small group support and interventions as well as occasional whole-class cover.
The successful candidate must:
- have experience of working with children in a school learning environment
- demonstrate a good understanding of the primary curriculum
- have a positive approach to developing relationships with pupils
- have experience of working flexibly and successfully within a range of teams
- be fully committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
