Pupil wellbeing is high priority each and every day at LCPS. We are proud of the care provided by our amazing staff and how supportive our pupils are of one another. At Linthorpe, we recognise the 5 ways to wellbeing and appreciate that having positive wellbeing and mental health is about being able to respond with resilience when we find something challenging or upsetting. We decided to dedicate a whole day to the promotion of pupil wellbeing last half term. As part of this day, Mrs Mitchell was delighted to welcome the Mayor of Middlesbrough, Andy Preston and one of our parent local council members, Mr Algifouri, into school to officially open our wonderful, new Adventure Trail.

Well done to Jasmine Charlton, class 6B, for coming up with the winning name, LCPS – Learn, Care, Play Space and to our school council and pupil leadership team for their contributions to the market research. We feel very lucky to have such a fantastic addition to our outdoor space and we hope pupils will reflect upon the 5 ways to wellbeing when enjoying play alongside their peers.
