Our LCPS theatre academy shone once again at our production of Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies. It was wonderful to see the passion, enthusiasm and sheer joy on our children’s faces as they performed on the big stage at Acklam Grange School. The commitment demonstrated by the cast during the months of rehearsals well and truly paid off and it was incredible to see such high-quality singing, acting and dancing.
At LCPS our passion for ‘the arts’ is one of our three special arches on our school badge because of how much we value performance and creativity and the impact it has on children’s self-esteem, confidence and well-being. Our theatre academy is a key part of our National Curriculum+ programme where we go above and beyond statutory requirements to personally develop each and every child.
The unique talent that has been identified and nurtured during this production was amazing and the opportunity to perform on stage to a live audience of special family, friends and teachers is something our children will remember forever. Well done LCPS theatre academy- we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next!
